Talk for Tomorrow is a student-run initiative that seeks to promote cross-regional dialogue in the Balkans by utilizing new trends of technological development. Through live face-to-face video conferences (VC) and get-together events, Talk for Tomorrow provides another window of communication to students from local and national universities. We hope to engage students in formal and informal conversations that will help bridge the divide between the youth of the Balkans. The initiative seeks to give university students a role to play in peace; meanwhile it hopes to enhance communication and cooperation between the universities of the region.

University students throughout the Balkans have historically played a crucial role in change, especially in the recent social and political developments of the region. As such, Talk for Tomorrow strives to provide a way for the youth of the Balkans to work towards change. Through live face-to-face video-conferences and get-together events, young intellctuals and activists of the universities in the region will have the opportunity to discuss different issues pertaining to the common future of our generation. Talk for Tomorrow envisions a generation that continously works towards a pluralistic understanding of our world.

The first phase of the initiative has been made possible by the Kathryn Wasserman Davis 100 Project for Peace. Kathryn Wasserman Davis created the 100 Projects for Peace program in order to challenge tomorrow's leaders to formulate and test their own ideas for peace-building. The 100 projects commemorate Mrs. Davis' 100th birthday and amount to $1million of funding for peace projects that will take place this summer in locations throughout the world.

Talk for Tomorrow is in close partnership with the regional organization Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR), Fare Verde Kosova, and the student-run initiative After Kosovo: A Project for Peace from Belgrade, Serbia.

Develop Cross-Balkan Initiative

We seek to expand our activities beyond Serbia and Kosovo. If you are a student or a recent graduate from a university in Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Hercegovina, or Croatia, and would like to bring Talk for Tomorrow to your university.
